Mental Health Project
This project is about mental disorders and my group and I chose "Alice In Wonderland Syndrome" as our research topic. Alice In Wonderland Syndrome is one of the most fascinating neurological symptoms described in the medical literature. was one of the most interesting disorders that we searched. This syndrome is described a set of symptoms with alteration of body image. An alteration of visual perception is found in that way that the sizes of body parts or sizes of external objects are perceived incorrectly. Is estimated that most of the patients are children and young adults and eventually disappears at the adult stage.

Blackout Poetry
In this project I choose a research paper about the importance of Global Warming and the effects that has in the world. This topic is very important for me because is affecting the space that I live in and the people in my life. For the back image I draw the comparison between the ideal world and the actual world that we are experiencing. This is meaningful because we can observe the differences and inspires us to make changes for ourselves and others.

"The phenomenon of Earth over the past one to two centuries. Weather phenomenon influences on climate and influence of human activity. Industrial Revolution and climate change increased extinction of many plant and animal species, rising sea levels. Greenhouse gases and the burning of fossil fuels: glaciers are melting, cloud forests are dying and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. Humans have caused by releasing heat-trapping gases to all living things. What will we do to slow this warming?"

MATH
Infographic Probability Project
In this final project I analyzed two questions and the knowledge of mental illnesses from 10th grade students perspective. I made an infographic based on the data I collected and I created two pie charts for both questions. The majority of the students had experience or knew someone with a mental disorder before. I also analyzed the how much they knew about mental disorders, such as the treatments, the different illnesses, why they occur, etc. |

Rocket Project
In this project we created the rocket using the Engineering Design Process in order to have successful results. We investigated different types of rockets and saw which one worked better. Some of the points my partner and I discussed were the rocket's balance, how much it weighted, how far it would go and many other factors that were important for the successful launch of the rocket. Materials: 1. BT-60 rocket - hold engine 2. Rounded spear nose cone - aerodynamics 3. D12-5 rocket engine - propulsion 4. Parachute - recovery system |

Women Leader Project
In this final project I interviewed the health specialist, Shelley Saitowitz at the Health & Human Services Agency. I chose her because I found her work really amazing and inspiring. Her work is to serve other people in our community and come up with new ideas and plans to solve serious problems that surround our community, such as low economy, climate change, overpopulation, health problems, traffic, etc. During the interview she mentioned that climate change is a huge problem in California and all around the world. Shelley is involved in community events to help raise healthy families while working in small changes that eventually could help and motivate others to do. She is a women leader and role model for many people and myself because of how dedicated into her work she really is. I created a collage poster with the work that she has done and help and some other topics that are related to her job. She is in the middle of the poster because of how important her role is for the community of San Diego and the rest of the world. *The scan code in the bottom right describes Shelley's life and her perspectives* |
